ERX: MAGDA ANDERSSON SIGNS WITH DA RACING FOR EURORX

Triple Andros Trophy Champions with ‘JB’ Dubourg, multiple podium finishers in the European and World Rallycross Championships, DA RACING has demonstrated its knowledge and ability in some of the biggest off-road sports in the world.

It’s that success that has motivated 19-year old Swedish rallycross driver Magda Anderson to join DA Racing for a four-round programme in the FIA European Rallycross Championship at the wheel of a 208 WRX Supercar this season, starting at the next round in Belgium. A wealth of experience Magda Andersson made her competition debut in karting aged nine. Very quickly, the young driver was distinguishable by her speed, which resulted in a number of podiums and victories. Andersson then switched her focus to rallycross, first in the JRX Cup junior category and later becoming the first female driver to finish on the podium in a round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship for TouringCar. She finished as vice-champion in the same Euro RX category in 2016, just missing out on the title by a single point. She raced a VW Polo in Supercar last season and returned to the top 10 at Lohéac in September having qualified for the semi-finals a round earlier in Sweden. After a maiden season in Supercar, Magda has decided to join DA Racing to show her speed at the wheel of the Peugeot 208
WRX.
Magda Andersson :
“I am very happy to join DA Racing for four rounds of Euro RX Supercar. For a long time, I thought I would not have a programme this season and when the DA Racing offered me the
chance to take the wheel of the 208 WRX, I did not hesitate for a moment. Rallycross is a constantly evolving discipline and it’s very important to drive this year’s DA Racing 208 WRX. This is the first time that I have been part of a French team and I’m already very much looking forward to working with DA Racing. I’ve always had a lot of support from French fans and I must admit that I cannot wait to get back to Lohéac in September, the atmosphere there is amazing and its one of my favourite events. The goal is of course to have a lot of fun driving the 208 WRX that has benefited from many evolutions during the winter. After a first season in Supercar, I’m confident and eager to get back into the rhythm in the 208 WRX and to set the fastest lap times possible.”
